Answer:
"Josh Brinkman: Sax. Michael Burand: Guitar. Jason Swanson: Bass. Ryan Biesack: Drums. Julia Hilfer: Vocals occasionally."

Question:
"How did the band get its name?"

Answer:
"Modified the Sonny Rollins tune Blue 7."

Question:
"How long have these people made up the band?"

Answer:
"Josh Brinkman: 1 ½ years. Michael Burand: 1 ½ years. Jason Swanson: 9 months. Ryan Biesack: 1 month. Julia Hilfer: 6 months. "

Question:
"How long has the band been in existence?"

Answer:
"1 ½ years."

Question:
"Album(s) the band has released and the year(s) they were released?"

Answer:
"Album should be released next fall."

Question:
"Where can people find out more about your band?"

Answer:
"www.chill7.com"

Question:
"What’s your favorite place to perform and why?"

Answer:
"The Pizza Luce in Duluth. The owners and the customers have very hip ears and appreciate a wide variety of styles."

Question:
"What’s your favorite thing about entertaining?"

Answer:
"Being spontaneous with improvised music."

Question:
"What’s your least favorite thing about entertaining?"

Answer:
"Trying to impress club owners."

Question:
"What’s your most memorable moment on stage?"

Answer:
"One night at the end of a long funk jam, Michael unexpectedly threw his guitar at Tom while Tom was finishing off a drum fill. Tom caught the guitar but everyone in the audience was sure it was going to hit him the head. Somehow it’s cooler when Jaco does it!"

Question:
"What’s your most memorable moment off stage, music related?"

Answer:
"We used to practice in a warehouse where a lot of bands rented practice space. One night, while we were trying to record a demo, this old metal shredder randomly comes in completely stoned and starts yelling stuff at the band right in the middle of a track. After a while, the band started laughing. It turned out to be a pretty hilarious recording."

Question:
"Is there anything that your fans don’t know about the band that you think they should?"

Answer:
"We are working on getting a CD out this summer with many funk and jam-oriented originals. We hope to combine jazz, funk, and rock into our own style."

Question:
"Is there anything that you want to say to your fans?"

Answer:
"For those of you who made it out to the Café Luxx and the Cabooze the past couple of months, thanks. For those of you who didn’t, we hope to see you soon."
