Dwelling - Interview with Shawn

Here's an interview done with Shawn from Dwelling.

Question:
"Names of the members of the band and the instruments they play?"

Answer:
"Shawn (sqrl) - Vocals.  Jeremy - Guitars.  James - Drums.  Jesse - Keys, samples.  Vern - Bass."

Question:
"How long has this group of people made up the band?"

Answer:
"The current lineup has been around for about 4 months.  Dwelling has been a band for about a year."

Question:
"Album(s) the band has released and the year(s) they were released?"

Answer:
"'The Greater Presence of the Unknown' 2001.  Promotional demo from forthcoming new album 2002."

Question:
"First single released?"

Answer:
"'Eclipsing' from 'The Greater Presence of the Unknown.'"

Question:
"What's your favorite place to perform and why?"

Answer:
"The Quest in Minneapolis because of the size of the venue and the (expletive) kids, or the Apollo in Thunder Bay because of the way you get treated."

Question:
"What's your favorite thing about entertaining?"

Answer:
"Seeing the enjoyment on the people's faces and the insane chaos that follows."

Question:
"What's your least favorite thing about entertaining?"

Answer:
"Loading!"

Question:
"What's your most memorable moment on stage?"

Answer:
"Opening for Hatebreed, then looking at the crowd and watching Hatebreed rise from their chairs to watch us play our set.  We played third that night, with Diecast and Figure 4 following.  We weren't sure what to expect, but seeing Hatebreed rise from their chairs to watch us play our set was something else, almost mystical."

Question:
"What's your most memorable moment off stage, music related?"

Answer:
"Chilling with our boys in Hatred, not only the funniest but the best band we've ever played with.  (www.iamhatred.com)"

Question:
"Is there anything you want to say to your fans?"

Answer:
"Duluth fans...you are the most insane crew Dwelling has ever seen.  By far we have yet to see a city with as crazy (expletive) as you guys in it...Keep it up!  You all are the (expletive) and we love you guys!"
