"St. Michael, MN."

Answer:
"Married, 3 sprouts."

"Water."

Answer:
"Down & Above, Slow Children."

Question:

Question:
"Hobbies?"

Answer:
"Fishing, camping, hiking, traveling."

Question:
"How long have you been with this band?"

Answer:
"4 years."

Question:
"How long have you been entertaining, alone or with a group?"

Answer:
"Sum total of about 12 years."

Question:
"How old were you when you first became interested in music?"

Answer:
"From as early as I can remember, but I don't think it hit me in earnest when I got my first acoustic guitar at age 10."

Question:
"Before this, what kind of experience did you have in the entertainment industry, musical or otherwise?"

Answer:
"In high school, I played guitar in the school Jazz ensemble.  In the 80's I played in a band called 'Mace.' We toured the five state area playing covers.  I also had a stint as a co-owner of a recording studio.  We also wrote jingles for radio."

Question:
"Musical influences?"

Answer:
"Well, I guess I listed them up in the 'favorite band' category."

Question:
"What's your favorite thing about entertaining?"

Answer:
"The best part for me is when I can look out into the crowd and see that we have succeeded in entertaining them.  Our goal each night is to create an atmosphere where people can let loose, have fun, dig some cool tunes, and let out some aggression in a positively channeled way. If we impress a few people along the way, all the better. When we see all of those things converging together in a crowd, it brings out the best in each of us, which brings the crowd to a higher point, which
drives us harder, etc. There's that intangible vibe between an appreciative crowd and an appreciative band. That is what I strive for, in fact, crave. When that moment where I can see that the crowd is entertained is achieved, I'm a happy dude."

Question:
"What's your least favorite thing about entertaining?"

Answer:
"Nothing about entertaining itself has a down side for me personally. But, actually being an entertainer is different from the act of entertaining, if you catch my meaning. Entertaining is fun, period. But being an entertainer is a tough road. I liken it to equal parts blessing and curse. It is a blessing to have the privilege to entertain; to be able to showcase what talent you have in front of people who appreciate it.  But the curse is that once you've been an entertainer,
it is in your blood for good. Nothing else is ever good enough.  Musicians who "run their course", and then get regular jobs either get back into music in some way, or they spend a lifetime wishing they would or could. Being a musician is not something you do, it is who you are. Trying to put music behind you is next to impossible, so, you are blessed because for the rest of your life, you are a musician. And, you are cursed, because for the rest of your life, you are a musician!"

Question:
"What's your most memorable moment on stage?"

Answer:
"Can I mention two? OK, thanks. The first is the time I was playing at the Exchange in Cross Lake, a resort town up north. There was a spot in the center of the stage where you could feel that you were standing on carpet with no wood underneath. Well, I stepped on it one too many times I guess, and went through, right in the middle of a song. The stage was about 3 feet tall, so I went in up to the crotch with one leg. We had to stop playing so my band members could help me out, and then we had to find a piece of plywood to cover the hole! That was pretty memorable.  The other time tied for first place most memorable moment is the time I was attacked by a transvestite on stage in Brainerd. He/she tried to take my microphone, and I wouldn't let him/her. When I refused, he/she grabbed me by the throat and started strangling me. My drummer at the time had several tough brothers who happened to be at the show that night. They rushed the stage and took down the girlie-man. I stood there catching my breath, watching 4 tough dudes kick the crap out of a dude in a dress! What a trip!"

Question:
"What's your most memorable moment off stage, music related?"

Answer:
"I think when I got the copies of Cain's Alibi's second CD "Sanctified" back from the manufacturer. When I opened one of the boxes, and saw the product there, it was a very proud moment. I produced the project as well as performing on it and co-writing it, so there was sooooo much time and energy into it. It was a very difficult birth. I and my bandmates were very proud. Having the result of our
hard work in my hand was a feeling I will never forget. I aim to feel it again soon."

Question:
"Where's your favorite place to perform?"

Answer:
"Well, it is a tie between Boxer's in Faribault, MN, and Sharky's in Columbia Heights, MN, but as you know, Sharky's was sold to Walgreens as of March 16th, 2002. R.I.P Sharky's!"

Question:
"Is there anything that your fans don't know about you that you think they should?"

Answer:
"Well, if they don't know already, I would like them to know how much I enjoy them. I do this for myself, but in order for me to get from it what I need, I have to do it for them first, and then I get what I want out of it."

Question:
"Is there anything that you want to say to your fans?"

Answer:
"Thank you for allowing us to entertain you!  You are appreciated!"

Question:
"Is there anything that you want to add?"

Answer:
"Yes, I would like to add a big dose of huge money and international success please!"
