American Outlaws - Interview with Steve

Here's an interview with Steve of the American Outlaws.  Thank you Steve!

Question:
"Names of the band members and the instruments they play?"

Answer:
"Steve V - Lead guitar/Vocals; Ed the Axeman - Lead vocals, Guitar; Mike Rose - Drums/Vocals; Destroyer D - Bassist/Vocals."

Question:
"How did the band get its name?"

Answer:
"The name was crossed between American Made (former band that I was in back in the 80's) and Outlaw Jack (another band formation that got put to the side)."

Question:
"How long has the band been in existence?"

Answer:
"3 years since the band was originally established."

Question:
"Album(s) the band has released and the year(s) they were released?"

Answer:
"The 'Demo CD' recording was conducted in the first quarter of 2002.  The second recording will start in December 2002, during the holiday season and be finished early 2003.  No single has been released with the American Outlaws, original material is already layed out and currently being discussed for recording dates."

Question:
"Where can people find out more about your band?"

Answer:
"To find out more about the American Outlaws band check us out live or stop by our website at www.geocities.com/theoutlawband."

Question:
"Where's your favorite place to perform and why?"

Answer:
"The best place to perform is in front of a crowd of thirsty classic rockers."

Question:
"What's your favorite thing about entertaining?"

Answer:
"Favorite thing in the entertainment world is to see the establishments packed with individuals who come to see you perform leaving no seats available and by the crowd dancing the night away, to express yourself musically with your original material.  Oh yeah, and the free beer."

Question:
"What's your least favorite thing about entertaining?"

Answer:
"Least favorite...Packing the gear up safely and loading for the ride back to the range at 2:00 a.m.  I guess I better include spending more money the night of gigs then you actually take home after the show.  I better not forget to mention dealing with negative people.  The least favorite thing is not spending enough time with the family due to all the rehearsals that take place and the amount of preparation that it takes to maintain this type of business."

Question:
"What's your most memorable moment on stage?"

Answer:
"The most memorable time was the night at JJ's bar when performing I got an itch to jump straight up and kick the ceiling tile from it's frame;  well this tough guy from the audience must have thought it wasn't as cool as I thought and wanted to kick my (expletive) after the show.  I guess breaking strings in the middle of solos still surprises me when it happens."

Question:
"What's your most memorable moment off stage, music related?"

Answer:
"Communicating with the audience when time permits.  Also thinking to myself that I used to sit in the audience and dreamed of performing on stage.  Talk about a rush."

Question:
"Is there anything that your fans don't know about you that you think they should?"

Answer:
"The only thing that the fans should know about us is that we actually work harder than it appears and that everything does not actually go as smooth as it looks.  Each performance has its variables and expect the unexpected..."

Question:
"Is there anything that you want to say to your fans?"

Answer:
"Thanks for the support.  Expressing our musical ability wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for the fans and their support to the music industry.  Thanks for the adrenaline rush that you give us each and every time."
