Question:
"Day job?"

Answer:
"Software."

Question:
"Hobbies?"

Answer:
"I hardly have time to eat and sleep these days with a full time job and trying to make a go with this band but if I did have a hobby, it would be riding  dirt bike, riding horses, restoring classic muscle cars (Mopar!  My dream car is a '69 SuperBee or GTX), cruising on a street bike, or accessorizing my Chevy truck."

Question:
"What do you like to do in your free time?"

Answer:
"What's that?  Watch DVD's on my buddy's big screen."

Question:
"What's your favorite thing about entertaining?"

Answer:
"I just love to play.  On a typical day, I'll sit in my basement for hours and practice on my guitar or my piano.  Doing it in front of people who enjoy the music is just icing on the cake."

Question:
"What's your least favorite thing about entertaining?"

Answer:
"Dealing with hecklers or grumpy bar owners/staff.  There seems to be a lot of them out there.  It must be a stressful business!"

Question:
"What's your most memorable moment on stage?"

Answer:
"A couple of years ago, I was playing with Durango (who by the way is with Gino Ruberto now).  We did a street dance in Mooretown, ND which was a town literally five blocks long in the middle of a corn field.  I come from North Dakota so I felt right at home.  The weather looked a little iffy but at the last minute the rain cleared and we had a crowd of about 3,500 people show up for this street dance.  I'll never forget that."

Question:
"What's your most memorable moment off stage, music related?"

Answer:
"I toured with a full time band called Dakota Sun three years ago.  We traveled in the snow from Durango, Colorado up to Grand Junction through the night.  I was riding in the back of the RV by myself and had the window open watching the stars.  It was cold but the view was unbelievable.  Then the road was winding down into this valley and at the bottom, we could see this little town.  It was Silverton.  It's just a little town nestled in a mountain valley but the yellow glow of street lights gave it such a neat, warm feeling and I thought to myself "I'm going to live there someday."  I haven't been back there yet but I intend to visit someday."

Question:
"Who are your musical influences?"

Answer:
"Vocally: Vince Gill.  On the guitar: Brent Mason and Pete Anderson.  Compositionally: Tim McGraw."

Question:
"How long have you been performing, alone or with a group?"

Answer:
"I started playing country music in 1996 with the Chace Roberts Band."

Question:
"How long have you been with this group?"

Answer:
"Ever since leaving Dakota Sun in February of 1999, I've been trying to put my own band together.  We've officially been gigging since June of this year."

Question:
"How old were you when you first became interested in music?"

Answer:
"My first serious interest came as a sophomore in High School.  I didn't play guitar at that point, just the trumpet in high school band.  I was exposed to a guy named Maynard Ferguson who had kind of a big band/rock thing with screaming trumpets and high energy music.  It was awesome."

Question:
"Before being with this band, what kind of experience did you have in the entertainment industry, musical or otherwise?"

Answer:
"I played a lot of big band/jazz music as a trumpeter in college.  Also performed at Valley Fair in the "Escapade" show on the Gazebo stage in 1994.  Now THAT'S a good summer job compared to farming with my Dad!  I'm totally kidding.  I love farming."

Question:
"Where's your favorite place to perform?"

Answer:
"Currently the Blue Goose in Garrison, MN."

Question:
"Is there any one thing that your fans don't know about you that you'd like them to know?"

Answer:
"I want them to know that they can trust in our group to play the best and latest songs and that with their help, we will start something that they can get really excited about.  We're going to make a positive impact on the music scene here in Minnesota and we want them to join the fun with us."

Question:
"Is there anything that you'd like to say to your fans?"

Answer:
"Work hard and live well."
